This directory lists the companies Hirelihood tracks for remote software engineering roles across Europe. Every company here was found through its own careers page rather than through a job aggregator, so what is recorded is what the company itself published: the roles it currently has open, the remote policy it operates, and the location eligibility each posting actually states.
That last point is the reason this directory exists separately from a job feed. A company describing itself as remote may still hire only within one country, or only where it holds an entity, and that restriction is rarely in the location field — it is a sentence in the requirements you find at the application form. Each company profile reports what its postings state, and says so plainly where they state nothing at all.
Companies are ranked by Hidden Opportunity score, which weighs how small the team is, how the roles are posted, and how visible the company is elsewhere. A small company posting directly on its own site and absent from the large boards is the case this score is built to surface: the roles are real, and the applicant pool is a fraction of what a listed role attracts. Companies with no open roles are hidden by default and can be included with one filter.
