Rust roles in Europe cluster around three employer types and very little else: crypto and protocol teams, systems and embedded vendors, and the small group of infrastructure companies rewriting a hot path. The number of openings is small in absolute terms, but so is the qualified pool, and a large share of the postings are remote-first by default because the companies were built that way. Germany carries the densest concentration of them, driven by the Berlin protocol and systems-software scene.
